🔁 Dependence on Meetings vs. Inner Transformation

AA culture often emphasizes “keep coming back,” and many people find community and accountability essential. But for some, that emphasis can feel like an external dependency that doesn’t leave much room for personal spiritual authority. Your reflection — that the book and program may contain elements of “false light” — seems to come from sensing where institutional patterns may have replaced inner divine experience.

This doesn’t invalidate AA’s good, but it points to something deeper: programs can guide, but God-consciousness liberates. For some, the “fourth dimension” becomes a living reality that transcends constant meeting attendance.
