Reflection of Discernment — When Others Say “God Told Me”

When someone speaks with the weight of Heaven, I listen with love—

and I also listen for peace.

Not every vision is instruction for my path;

not every certainty is the voice of God for me.

I ask quietly within:

Does this message carry the gentleness of Christ,

or the pressure of urgency and fear?

Truth does not rush me. Love does not flatter me.

The Shepherd’s voice leads by calm,

and brings me home to stillness.

I honor what others share,

and I return to the sanctuary of the heart—

where God meets me in the present moment,

clear as light, steady as breath.

Here I remember:

I am guided without spectacle,

taught without coercion,

and held without condition.

So I bless every messenger,

and I follow only the peace of Christ within.
