“What Kind of World Will We Leave Them?”

📖 Sacred Testimony LXXIII

“What Kind of World Will We Leave Them?”
A Thought My Parents Carried

In the hush of ordinary days,
beneath the noise and the doing,
my mother and father held
a question they never really spoke aloud—

“What kind of world will we leave
for our grandchildren?”

They lived through wars,
through hard times and harvests,
through canned vegetables and real connection,
through faith that was sometimes tangled in fear—
and still, they wondered.

Not just about money.
Not just about politics.
But about the soul of the world.

Would it be kind?
Would it be safe?
Would it remember the things that mattered?

The homemade biscuits.
The porch talks.
The way neighbors helped each other
without being asked.

🌿 And now I see:

That question
still echoes in my own bones.
And maybe I, too,
carry a sacred responsibility—

To plant something softer
than the world I inherited.

To leave a blessing
not just in words,
but in how I live.

They didn’t say much about it.
But I felt it in their quiet.
And I remember it now.
