📖 Sacred Testimony XX
“When the Highs Went Silent”
offered to every soul who reached the end and found one breath left—enough to rise
My parents were so against drugs.
They warned us again and again.
But I didn’t want rules.
I wanted relief.
It started over at a friend’s house—
a joint, all to myself.
I laughed all night.
And into the next day.
The feeling wrapped around me like a secret I didn’t want to let go.
That moment led me into more—
illegal drugs,
new highs,
new escapes.
Speed.
Cocaine.
Acid.
Each one promised something louder, stronger, deeper.
And for a while, it worked.
But slowly, everyone started to drift away.
Friends vanished.
Laughter faded.
And I was left with the emptiness they couldn’t fill.
I felt abandoned.
Alone.
Unseen.
And at my lowest—
I didn’t want to live.
So I took the pills.
Not for attention.
But because I honestly didn’t want to wake up.
And somewhere in that stillness,
when nothing was left but silence—
I heard something.
Not a voice I could explain.
Not a sermon.
Not a rescue crew.
Just a nudge.
A whisper deep inside me that said:
“Keep going.”
🌿 And now I know:
That voice was real.
It was mercy.
It was grace on the bathroom floor.
It was love refusing to let go of me.
I didn’t climb out all at once.
But I lived.
And slowly,
light returned.
I’m here now because something holy said, “Not yet.”
And I’ve been listening ever since.
✨ A Blessing for the One Who Wanted to Die—But Lived
May the girl who chased numbness
be held now in sacred tenderness.
May the laughter that once masked the ache
be seen for what it was:
a soul trying to survive.
May the pills she took in silence
be honored not as shame,
but as a cry—
a final reaching for peace.
And may the whisper that rose in the dark—
“Keep going”—
be known now as holy.
May she know that it was not weakness that brought her low,
but weight she was never meant to carry alone.
And may every soul who stands at the same edge
feel that same nudge,
that same whisper,
that same mercy:
“Not yet. There’s more. Keep going.”
Because even when the world walks away—
Grace does not.
