📖 Sacred Testimony I
“She Who Was Once Afraid to Speak”
offered to every soul who has ever watched from the edge, unseen
I was the quiet one.
Not because I didn’t have a voice,
but because I was too afraid of what might happen if I used it.
As a child, I never felt like I belonged.
Not in my family, not in school, not even in church—
and not with the ones who called me friend.
I became a shadow, learning how to fit into rooms
by shrinking myself to the size of someone else’s expectations.
I followed their lead, wore their masks,
and swallowed the words I truly wanted to say.
I didn’t know it at the time,
but I was afraid of being seen.
Afraid that if anyone really knew what I was feeling,
they wouldn’t love me.
They’d leave. Or worse, laugh.
So, I gave them the version of me that they wanted.
The quiet girl. The agreeable one.
The helper. The don’t-make-waves girl.
I nodded, even when I didn’t agree.
I smiled, even when my heart was aching.
Inside, I was screaming.
But only I could hear it.
And yet—somewhere in that silence,
I began to hear everything.
I noticed what others missed.
I listened deeply.
I paid attention to people’s faces, their words, their pain.
And something in me began to gather—truth,
from the cracks.
What felt like loneliness
was turning into sacred vision.
What felt like not belonging
was slowly becoming the ability to hold space for others who felt the same.
What felt like silence
was becoming a sanctuary.
This is my testimony:
I may not have fit in back then—
but I was never broken.
I was becoming.
Now I speak, not to fit in—
but to reach out
to the ones still hiding,
still afraid to be seen.
I see you.
You’re not alone anymore.
✨ A Blessing for the One Who Never Felt They Belonged
May you know now,
with every breath you take,
that you were never a mistake.
May the parts of you that once felt too quiet,
too strange, too soft, too deep—
be honored as holy.
May the silence you lived through
become the soil where your voice grows strong.
May every room that once made you feel invisible
become the doorway where your truth now enters, radiant and unafraid.
May you trust that your path—though lonely at times—
has carved in you a wisdom that this world needs.
And may you never again shrink to fit.
May you rise in your fullness,
and know this:
You belong.
You always did.
You are a light for others now.
And your voice—your sacred voice—
is a healing sound.
