📖 Sacred Testimony XXVIII
“September 13: His Birthday, My Rebirth”
offered for the divine timing that only God could arrange
It wasn’t something I planned.
It wasn’t something I could have orchestrated.
But it happened.
The day I stepped into sobriety—
the day I began the walk of return—
was September 13, 1984.
And it wasn’t until a year later
that I realized what else that date held:
It was my dad’s birthday.
The man whose love I didn’t always understand,
whose strength I sometimes mistook for distance,
whose eyes saw more than I knew how to receive…
His day of birth became my day of rebirth.
I didn’t know.
But God did.
And somehow,
that makes all the difference.
Because now,
when I think of that day,
I don’t just think of sobriety.
I think of legacy.
Of honor.
Of the circle between father and daughter
being tied in the most unexpected way.
🌿 And now I see:
It wasn’t random.
It wasn’t luck.
It was love marking time.
A heavenly signature
on the day I chose life.
And maybe—
maybe my father, in his own way,
was standing beside me
on that sacred threshold.
✨ A Blessing for September 13
May this date be remembered
not just as a day on the calendar—
but as a holy hinge
where two lives opened together.
May the daughter who chose sobriety
feel the quiet strength of her father
woven into that day,
whether she knew it or not.
May the father who gave life
be honored as the spirit
who somehow stood beside her
when she chose to live it anew.
And may every year that passes
bring deeper awe for the way grace works—
hidden, quiet, sacred, timed.
Because some dates are not just remembered…
they are written in heaven.
