📖 Sacred Testimony IX
““No Dances, No Dates—Still Worthy”
offered to every soul who felt invisible in a room full of people
All through school,
I felt like I didn’t belong.
I wasn’t popular.
I wasn’t pretty—at least, not in the way the world seemed to define it.
I felt ugly.
I felt awkward.
I felt like I didn’t know how to be who everyone else seemed to be so easily.
It was hard to make friends.
Not because I didn’t want them—
but because I never knew what to say.
I was afraid of being judged,
afraid of sounding stupid,
afraid that if I opened my mouth,
people would see the real me—
and walk away.
So I stayed quiet.
I watched others go to dances,
get asked out,
laugh in groups.
And I stayed home.
No dates.
No boyfriends.
No fairy tale high school moments.
The friends I did make never stayed.
Or maybe I didn’t know how to hold on to them.
Either way, the loneliness stayed longer.
I told myself it was fine.
That I didn’t need them.
That I preferred being alone.
But deep down,
I just wanted to be wanted.
Seen.
Invited.
Loved.
🌿 And now I see her:
That girl in the hallway,
carrying books and silence—
she wasn’t broken.
She was just waiting for someone to tell her she mattered.
Now I can be that someone.
I know now that popularity isn’t belonging.
That beauty isn’t a face—it’s a presence.
That worth isn’t proven by parties or dates or yearbook quotes.
And I wasn’t invisible.
I was just becoming.
✨ A Blessing for the Girl Who Didn’t Belong
May the one who stood on the outside
know now that her worth was never determined by a crowd.
May her silence be honored,
not as weakness,
but as wisdom still forming.
May the mirror she once feared
be replaced with a reflection of truth:
you were always beautiful, even when you couldn’t see it.
May every dance she missed,
every invitation that never came,
every lonely night spent wondering why—
be gathered now
into a circle of compassion
and laid down like flowers at her feet.
And may she know, deeply and forever:
She was not forgotten.
She was not a mistake.
She was not less.
She was simply waiting
for the love she deserved—
and it begins now, with her own heart.
